How to Flip Video FAQs

1. What is the Difference Between Flipping, Mirroring, and Rotating a Video?

Flipping a video typically means turning it upside down. In a vertical flip, the top switches with the bottom. In a horizontally flip, the left side of the video switches to the right side.

Mirroring a video means areas are flipped along their vertical (top to bottom) or horizontal (left to right) axis. The mirror effect is where the original image and the mirrored reflection are on screen together.

Rotating a video is when you move it around/turn it on an axis or its center. This is useful when you record a video vertically but want to watch it horizontally. In this case, you are rotating your video 90-degrees.
