FaceMe Security 8.9 simplifies enrollment by allowing administrators to send invitations through a URL or QR code, enabling users to securely capture and submit a selfie from their smartphone.
Each submitted image is automatically evaluated using AI-powered quality checks before administrators review and approve the enrollment or request a replacement photo. Organizations can also import personnel lists and send invitations in bulk, making it easy to onboard employees across multiple locations. By eliminating manual photo collection and reducing unsuitable submissions, FaceMe Security helps organizations deploy facial recognition faster while minimizing administrative effort.
Genetec and Axis Integration Strengthens Access Control Reliability with Offline Verification
FaceMe Security 8.9 expands integration with the Genetec Synergis™, Axis network door controllers, and Face Terminal devices, enabling organizations to enhance their existing access control systems with AI-powered facial recognition. After a user is verified by a Face Terminal, FaceMe retrieves the card number already registered in Genetec Synergis and sends it to the Axis door controller, where existing access permissions and schedules determine whether entry is granted.
To ensure continuous operation, FaceMe Security stores the data required for access verification locally on Face Terminal devices. If connectivity to the central management system is temporarily interrupted, identity verification and access control continue uninterrupted at the edge. This helps organizations maintain secure access to offices, manufacturing facilities, and other critical environments even during network disruptions.
Flexible Two-Factor Authentication for High-Security Areas
FaceMe Security 8.9 introduces two-factor authentication using facial recognition and an access card on supported access control devices. Requiring both factors adds an extra layer of protection against unauthorized access resulting from lost, shared, or stolen access cards.
Administrators can enable two-factor authentication where additional security is required, making it easy to apply different authentication policies across facilities. Whether protecting manufacturing environments, R&D centers, server rooms, or other restricted areas, organizations can strengthen security while maintaining a seamless user experience.
