Taipei, Taiwan—July 8, 2014—CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), the world’s leading consumer multimedia software company, has launched “I Love Travel,” a video editing competition that challenges the editing and production skills of video enthusiasts from around the world. To enter the competition, contestants use CyberLink’s award-winning PowerDirector video editing software to create a one to three minute video about their most memorable travel experience, and then upload their submission to CyberLink’s DirectorZone website.

“Traveling can be so much more than just a form of recreation. It also helps us pursue dreams, find adventure, and expand our horizons,” said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. “CyberLink PowerDirector is the ideal tool to unleash the freedom and creativity that traveling inspires, and this fun event will give people an opportunity to create travel videos that are as unforgettable as the actual journeys.”

Videos edited with the free trial version of PowerDirector will also be accepted. Entries will be viewed by a team of professional multimedia editors, and judged on editing technique, story originality, and production quality. Among the prizes to be awarded are a DJI Phantom 2 Vision flying camera, Beats Solo on-ear headphones, and Liquid Image camera goggles. The "I Love Travel" contest runs from July 8 through September 8, 2014, with winners being announced on September 17, 2014. There is no purchase necessary to enter. The contest is open to entrants worldwide.
