PowerCinema, Cyberlink’s all-in-one digital home entertainment solution, provides a fun and easy way to access and enjoy your photos, videos, music and television. PowerCinema 7, when powered by the multi-touch user interface engine in Windows 7, lets consumers and business PC interact with photos and videos in a number of great new ways, making it faster and easier than ever to find and enjoy multimedia content.
CyberLink’s next version of PowerCinema puts photos and videos at the tip of your fingers. PowerCinema provides multiple browsing modes, including a photo gallery, photo scatter view, video gallery and video sorting table. Just reach out and touch the media content that you want to view. Smoothly move, rotate, and zoom in and out of photos and videos with your fingers to find or view what you want, then tap twice to play a video or watch a photo slide show. "As we have already seen on mobile phones, touch-screens create new possibilities for quickly browsing and enjoying content, in ways that are intuitive, fast and fun" said Alice Chang, CEO of CyberLink. "Thanks to Microsoft’s development of multi-touch user interface technology in Windows 7, we expect to see PC and device manufacturers introduce multi-touch optimized systems in a wide variety of form factors. Touch technology provides a whole new way of using your PC, and we are excited to be a part of the multi-touch revolution." PowerCinema will be shown in Cyberlink’s private suite (2365) at the Hilton hotel to members of the press and PC manufacturers. Several of Cyberlink’s strategic partners are also planning to demonstrate PowerCinema multi-touch.
"Cyberlink was one of the first software developers to integrate our Touch API," said Ian LeGrow, Group Program Manager for Windows Client at Microsoft Corp. "Although this is only a taste of the great multitouch software that will be available when Windows 7 launches, it is exciting to see what world-class software developers like Cyberlink have been able to do on this platform."
